What a week it has been. The cold weather has meant we’ve had more fallers than at the Grand National. The city centre was like a skating ring. Lots of clients have been telling us of their slips trips and crashes. One client fell over seven times on Monday!
The thing that has been keeping everyone warm this week has been TV two very different programmes have been the centre of conversation firstly the harrowing programme about Paul Gasgoine and his family had everybody talking. It’ so difficult to help somebody who seems to be on such a downward slide whilst his family and particularly his eldest son was so loyal and wanted to help him so much, the former footballer didn’t seem to care and everybody had so much sympathy for his wife Sheryl and her children.
On a lighter note Celebrity Big Brother has everyone hooked and the number one talking point has to be Vern and Ulrika’s version of Endless Love to say they murdered the song was an understatement, but despite it’s badness everyone loved it. Tina Malone is this weeks Marmite people either love her or hate her but they all comment on her. She certainly isn’t playing up to the cameras and what you see is what you get.
We all like something to look forward and now that we’ve had Christmas and New Year, Summer holidays are the hot topic, favourite destinations so far are Marbella Ibiza and Dubai.
Another date everyone is putting in their diary is the Grand National, Ladies day is the 3rd April and we are already taking lots of bookings. The races are massive part of the social calendar now we’ve even had enquiries about booking hair appointments for the Chester meeting in July!
Diets are still in full swing and this weeks favourite alternative to chocolate is Jelly It started with just plain strawberry but now clients are getting adventurous and alternatives to just jelly are jelly with grapes jelly with banana and jelly with crème Fraiche.
Not many clients are impressed with the French politician Rachida Dati who was in all the papers this week she returned to work after having a baby after only five days. Not right and not a good start to building up a relationship with her new born child, most seem to think she’s got her priorities totally wrong., mind you she did look fantastic!
Cheryl Cole is always a favourite topic and this week she’s been getting mixed reviews lots of positives for her front cover on February’s Vogue but lots of negatives on her moaning about her battle with her weight! Please theirs nothing of her. Life’s certainly tough being a celebrity.
Finally this weekend saw the finale of Liverpool’s reign as the European City of Culture, most people have been really positive about the benefits it has had for the city and everyone seems to be sad it’s over, but what most clients are asking is what’s happening next, sadly we can’t tell them.
