Salon Talk 6th March

Did nobody ever tell Ne-Yo and his partner not to put their feet on the table!

Dancing seems to be a hot topic in the salon this week, theirs lots of people been to see Cinderella on Ice at the Empire their was the hilarious Keith Lemon and Paddy McGuiness recreating the dance seen from Dirty Dancing on Comic Relief’s celebrity dancing show, which made everybody laugh. But the two hottest tickets this week are for American superstar Ne-Yo at the Echo Arena for the summer pops a great singer and an even better dancer and finally the gold dust tickets are for the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, the new series isn’t on until the Autumn and the tour isn’t until next January but it’s already sold out!

And if all that wasn’t enough Michael Jackson is back touring again Everyone still has a soft spot for him and would love to see him live. Some clients where saying they remember his concert at the Aintree Race course about twenty years ago. What chance he’ll come to the Liverpool Arena this time, or maybe he will turn up in Liverpool this week to see Thriller Live at the Empire just in case he needs to be reminded of some of his moves.

Poor Cheryl Cole has been stuck up a mountain risking her life trying to raise money for Comic Relief, and her fella is out on the town with his mates getting drunk chatting up girls and getting arrested. Nobody gives there relationship very much longer

One relationship that is on the up and up and everyone has been talking about them as the new Wayne and Coleen is Everton’s latest golden Boy Jack Rodwell with his future Hollyoaks actress girlfriend Melissa Reeves. The good looking couple where in all the papers this week, Glad to see he knows how to get in his girlfriends good books by taking her shopping in Cricket.

Everyone has been saying how stupid Victoria Beckham looked dressed up in her military overcoat and officers cap getting on board a plane. Talk about over the top! Most people said she should lighten up, wear a track suit or something comfortable when flying they don’t get dressed up like a dogs dinner.

What price a good hairdo. Well if the papers are to be believed it’s £40,000 that’s how much they say it cost Jennifer Aniston to bring her favourite stylist on her promotional tour for her latest film. It sounds a lot but to some people it would be a small price such is the importance they put on looking good. In Jennifer ‘s case her hair is literally her fortune such was the impact her hairstyle had when she was part of the TV series Friends, Clients still bring in pictures of her hair and say this is what I want.

The great thing we all love about a celebrity getting a new haircut is that it prompts clients to go for a change of style. When Gwynneth Paltrow appeared on the front cover of last months Elle magazine we had lots of clients wanting her haircut. An iconic cut like Jennifer Anistons or the ‘pob’ Victoria Beckhams ‘posh bob’ sets the trends and we all love to follow the latest trends. So is £40,000 to much for a haircut? For the amount of publicity they get out of it maybe not.

This week the X Factor was in town, and lots of people where saying apart from Alexander Burke and without some prompting they couldn’t remember who the other contestants were. When they were on Television last year we talked about nothing else but three months later and it’s the blonde one with the squeaky voice and them four boys JMU or something like that maybe they need a memorable haircut? Still everyone who went thought the show was brilliant.
