How much longer can Mick Hucknall keep holding back the years?
How do you solve a problem like Mick Hucknall’s head that’s what we’ve been asking ourselves this week. The Simply Red singer has been in town at the Summer Pops and even though we love his voice and his songs, on stage his red curly hair is a proper turn off. He’s at that age now where he’s got to do something the long dreadlock thing is past the tied back in a pony tail idea is dated and the mop on top looks like what it is a mop on top. For me there are two options one go short a crop get rid cut it all off but then he may just look like an orange or have it smoothed. We have a great service in the salon that could take all those wild curls away and give him a relaxed tamed head of hair which he could style. No more Holding back the years I’m afraid Mick
It seems like the Twilight series of books are what everyone wants to read at the moment. The second edition New Moon has everyone gripped and there is a waiting list of staff wanting to borrow it, before it comes out in the cinema in the Autumn.
Is their to much pressure to be skinny once you become a celebrity. We were talking about this after seeing some awful pictures of Kerri Katonna and Mica Barton in the magazines this week. Kerri’s doesn’t seem to think her weight matters much, her yoyo dieting meant she looked great a few months then she piled the weight back on. Most people think Kerri thrives on these extremes and enjoys the fact that it keeps her in the public eye. In Mica’s case most think her problems are far more desperate. If Kerri blows up it’s magazine story maybe a TV show then if she loses the weight it’s a follow up either way its not the end of the world where as Mica who wants to be a movie star it may as well be. The pictures first of her fat then of her gaunt and wasted were so sad its seems to be that once you’ve tasted Hollywood success like she did with her hit series the OC it’s a drug you find hard to give up, and the pressure to be thin comes above everything else.
Ever heard a song on the radio or in a bar and wondered what it was you wait for the DJ to tell you what it was then doesn’t how frustrating is that. Well I found this great thing this week its called Shazamm and it’s a free Application or App as they are called on one of the staffs Iphones. When you hear a song you like you just point your phone at the speaker the phone locks on it and listens thinks about it then comes back and tells you what it is. How clever is that!
Everyone loves Total Wipe out and the Hula Hoops adverts on TV is their anything funnier than seeing people bouncing off those big balls, or hands with hula hoops on fingers spinning discs like a DJ stupid things that can’t help but make us laugh .
How lucky am I a nice man in China wrote to me this week and told me confidentially that someone with a similar name to mine who could be a relative has died and has over eight million dollars unclaimed in an account if I contact him he will pull a few strings and if I give him a share will let me have all the money. I also had an Email off an even nicer man from Nigeria who informs me another possible relative in similar circumstances has died and he is offering to do exactly the same thing but with an even bigger share for me. All I have to do contact them. Either this a very bad week for my family. With two relatives who I didn’t know dieing or this is some kind of scam. I tend to feel it’s the latter. But won’t I be sick if I find out I’ve given up on over sixteen million dollars!
