Salon Talk 28th April

The magazines have been full of pictures of Abbey Clancy and Agyness Deyn, but for very different reasons this week and ones become our hero the others our zero . Abbey has to be our hero after she just landed her dream job to be featured in Sport Illustrated the swimsuit edition. This is one of the biggest selling magazines in the world, She has the perfect figure that is the envy of everyone for the summer. We have a big picture of her on the staff room notice board (placed d their by the girls I hasten to add) in her swimsuit walking along the beach looking gorgeous. Its enough to make anyone think twice before eating a cream cake.

Our zero has to be Agyness Deyn the papers have been full of pictures of her with a shaven head, Looking very much like Britney Spears, during her break down period. Agyness could be described as having a quirky image which she plays up to and it usually works really well for her. She like to change her hair colour and style and up until now has always been a hit with everyone, but not this time even someone as beautiful as her can’t carry this bald look off .Its not a very flattering style and not a look that’s going to have clients rushing to the salon for. This is one look we don’t think will catch on.

Speaking of Britney we all thought it was a strange decision of hers to insist that the original pictures of her were released along with the touched up ones for her recent ad campaign in America. In the untouched shots she looked great and would be perfectly acceptable that is until you see what they can do with a little bit of camera trickery they made her look fantastic, Even though we all know they are enhanced and not really how she looks naturally everyone thought it its better to have pictures of how we wished we looked than how we actually are.

The French edition of Marie Clare magazine this month has taken a stance against digitally enhancing its photographs and proclaims on its cover that none of its pictures have been digitally altered. Sounds great and you might expect all the models to look over weight and out of shape but not a bit of it everyone in the magazine looks fantastic which in a way is a bit disappointing.

Reetone trainers the new sports shoes from Reebok are what everyone thinks will get them fit for the summer and everyone wants a pair. Magic shoes!!

Ash clouds and spoilt holidays have been the story of the week. Worst travel story was the client stuck in Russia who had to travel by road and rail to get back it took her nearly a week and cost her a fortune! Her biggest worry was that she would miss her hair appointment

Re-inventing yourself is something Diana Vickers has managed to do successfully since appearing in the X- factor last year. She could have been just another what might have been story but instead she’s had a makeover got a great new image now she’s starring in a west-end musical and got a number one single. Well done to the stylist who saw the potential

For those people who like to use their pet to get themselves noticed i.e Paris Hilton a ferret is the must have accessory this week.

Colour of the week Lemon – Its fresh and its summery and everyone has got to have something to wear in that colour this week

Hot ticket for next week Rhianna at the Arena.

Soft job of the week standing outside Hollister in Liverpool One in shorts flip flops and no top trying to entice people in. Only the beautiful people need apply.

Disappointing movie of the week – Date Night don’t waste your time.
