Salon Talk 13th July

Mr Right? James Corden

If we are to believe what we read in the papers then the days of the sports toned hunk being every girls dream man are over these days abs aren’t as important as flabs and the gym shy guy is the boy everyone wants to date. Funny and lovable seem to be the requirements. Think of big boys like James Corden, or Justine Lee Collins or even Jamie Oliver. These it seems are the kind of guys we want to be swept off our feet by. The magazines are telling us that ok to date bigger guys and just to prove big is beautiful its the turn of the larger men to muscle there way or should I say waddle there way onto the plus size models in magazines bandwagon. Dating a big guy may have a novelty factor at first but how long before you’ll be asking who’s ate all the pies.

Speaking of finding Mr right remember speed dating well its back and Chanel five are about to launch a new prime time dating show ‘The Love Bus’ and its coming to Liverpool soon. They contacted us and asked us if any of our single ladies or shy guys would up for taking part Everyone said it sounds like it could be a laugh

He may be the most eligible bachelor in the country but isn’t their something a little bit off putting about Prince William after he was reported to have gone shopping with his girlfriend without any money, then couldn’t pay when he got to the till. Most guys would have got dumped after the first date, but then again Prince William isn’t most guys.

On the plus side its nice to know that the princes taste in food is pretty basic just pizza and chips,a meal with him isn’t going to break the bank, But you’d need to rob a bank to afford some of the worlds most expensive food that we saw advertised this week fillet of beef was £3000 a kilo and melon could be bought for £3000 and if that wasn’t enough you could wash it all down with a bottle of beer priced at £204 or maybe just stick to water at £35.00 a litre. Sounds great if you’ve got more money than sense.

Everyone was shocked by pictures of Naomi Campbell with a large bald patch in her hair, The result of having her extensions in for to long and the braids to tight. Extensions are more popular than ever, some girls just can’t live without them, but take a tip from Victoria Beckham who put hers back in this week, Leave the extensions out every few months for at least a month and let your hair recover, otherwise its won’t only be Naomi walking round with bald patches.

A funny thing happened to one of the girls going to London by train this week. She went to the toilet and thought she had locked the doors however whilst sitting there with her knickers round her ankles, a man came in. The thing about the doors on Virgin trains are they are not straight forward push open they are electric and slide open automatically They are like game show doors and open with a swoosh only this wasn’t the surprise surprise either of them where expecting. Hard to decide who would be most mortified.

If that wasn’t enough she was getting picked up by a taxi when she got off the train and seeing a taxi driver waiting outside asked if he was here to pick her up. He said he was and so she jumped in the cab after about ten minutes and half away across London she got a phone call and shortly after so did the driver asking where they both where turns out wrong cab wrong passenger, lots of embarrassment.

If it started in London then it must be the next big trend, so get ready for the ‘winge’ a wig fringe? It’s could only be a London thing.

Oh no what next in China there is a craze for dyeing their dogs hair to make it look like another animal such as a panda or a tiger. I’m telling everyone now being a dog groomer is going to be the next big thing!

Just when you though you’d heard of everything the latest craze for men in Japan is going to an erotic ear cleaning parlour. It supposed to be very sensuous and stress relieving. So the question is whats worse your man confesses that he’d been to a pole dancing club or had his ears cleaned out? – bring on the pole!!
