What am I going to wear for the party that’s all everyone has been asking this week, The party being our twentieth anniversary birthday dinner in September. Its hard believe but the salon has been open for twenty years and we wanted to do something really special to celebrate. Not wanting to do things by half We had the idea of booking the magnificent Liverpool Cathedral for our celebration and inviting all the people who have been important to us over the last twenty years so we’ve been trying to contact all our old staff and friends and of course our clients. As you can imagine we’ve have had a hectic few months of organizing and most importantly making sure everybody knows, I’m sure we’ve missed a few out so sorry if you haven’t received a letter but please get in touch, but now that its nearly here and we have an amazing night planned, time to move on to other matters choosing an outfit and more importantly how am I going to fit into it.
All the girls are on diets and getting into shape. Some of them are looking amazing and I’m envious of their will power, but have they peaked to soon? I had it pointed out to me this week that on average we diet three times a year for about 19 days and then we give up, So I think if I start my diet in two weeks time I’ll just be getting into shape for the party, I want to look the part but head tells me that loosing weight is a marathon not a sprint so timing is everything. Well that’s my excuse anyway.
What do David Bowie and X factor stars ‘Jedward’ have common answer their quiffs. The exaggerated quiff is the hot look this week, and the David Bowie Diamond Dogs album cover seems to be the inspiration. Kimberly Wyatt ex. Pussy Cat doll looked fab on TV the other night with her hair styled short with cropped sides and brushed back and high. Everyone commented how good she looked. And Mark Ronson who seems to have been everywhere on TV who as well as being the sharpest dressed man in music rocked up his look with a very sharp quiff
Lots of the people have been involved in the race for life charity events over the last few weeks, I have to say well done to all the girls from the salons and everyone who has taken the time and the trouble to raise money for such great cause the double bonus of helping others and getting fit makes everyone a winner
Its not only parties that people want to look good for I had to smile this week when I read that before she went off to prison Lynsey Lohan visited her favourite beauty parlour for some botox and a make-over. I’ve never heard of anyone asking to look like someone’s prison picture before, But Lynsey looked fab as she got locked up.

And yes you pay by the hour. Maybe they have a little meter like on a taxi which they click when you meet and you have a running total of how much this friendship is costing you. And what happens after your time is up do they say I’m not your friend anymore and refuse to talk to you? Probably.
The football season hasn’t even started but new Liverpool signing Joe Cole and his wife Carly, are already making a big impression We had one of the national papers in the salon this week asking us all about the city and where Joe and especially Carly should go to, I told them they would be spoilt for choice when it comes to shopping and dining out., and i’m sure they’ll more than impressed once they get the chance to look around
Everyone liked the idea of the latest government scheme to help improve our children and make them more responsible by taking them away to summer camps, but all everyone want to know is how soon can they drop them off
